About
Michelle Mari • Occupational Therapist
Michelle has been a practicing Occupational Therapist for two decades, gaining her qualifications in the Philippines, where she had to develop the ability to think fast and be creative. She has worked with the whole spectrum of life but has focused on older individuals, helping them remain in their homes, making modifications to the home/environment, teaching wheelchair positioning and management, breathing exercises, training in activities of daily living, giving advice on adaptive equipment, and offering instruction to patients and their caregivers for safety.
Michelle is the founder of StorytimeTherapies, a business inspired by her personal journey of healing. After realizing that she had been telling herself stories that weren't leading her to a place of life satisfaction, she gained a unique insight that she now uses to help her clients. Recognizing the impact of physical, mental, and emotional health, Michelle utilizes an approach that focuses on the whole person in order to help them reach their desired outcomes. She also believes in the power of laughter as a form of medicine.
When not on the job, Michelle likes to take in the sights of the outdoors, snap some photos, listen to music, create art, explore the world, and spend quality time with her son, pet bunnies, family and friends.
